March 17th, 2026 Primary Election in Peoria County

1. Vote Early

• Make a plan. Ask a friend to help you register and drive to an early voting location. Ask whoever sent you this page.
• Register online before March.
• Early voting starts in February at the Election Commission office. There are multiple libraries and churches where you can vote early on specific days.
• Peoria County voters can vote at any polling place in Peoria County on Election Day.
• Peoria County voters can register and immediately vote on Election Day at any polling place.

2. Request a Democratic Party Ballot

• Requesting a Democratic Party ballot allows you to write in Randy Stevens for County Treasurer.
• In Illinois, you can choose a Democratic ballot on Election Day when you vote.
• There is no advantage to choosing a non-partisan ballot.

3. County Treasurer - Randy Stevens

• Write in Randy Stevens and check the box.
• Randy needs write-ins to make it to the General Election.
• Randy is running against a Republican.

4. PPS District 2 - David Daye

• Vote for David Daye.
• The March 17th primary is your only chance to vote for school board.
• David's main contributor is Peoria PAC, who also contributed to Sarah Howard, Andre Allen, Rita Ali, and Bernice Gordon-Young.
• Andres' main contributor is Friends of John Kelly. John Kelly previously ran against Mayor Rita Ali, and voted for Ordinance 18,220, the homeless ban.

5. PPS District 3 - Sarah Howard

• Vote for Sarah Howard.
• The March 17th primary is your only chance to vote for school board.
• Douglas Shannon is funded by Republicans including Travis Weaver. For proof, see our dossiers page.
• PPS school board elections can be as narrow as 31 votes (page 27), so every vote counts.
